A little about the person behind the journal.

Hi, I'm James. This is my corner of the internet: a journal where I write things down. Thoughts, photos, reviews, and whatever else I feel like sharing.

Why does it look like 1998?

Because the web was more fun when every page felt like a place you could wander into. I wanted somewhere to write that isn't a feed, a timeline, or a newsletter pitch. Just a desktop, some windows, and a stack of entries you can open as tabs.

Poke around

Open the Start menu for recent entries, search, and the RSS feed.
Try Settings to change the colors.
If you're feeling brave, try Shut Down. Be patient with it.

The fine print

No ads, no cookies, no popups asking you to subscribe. The visitor counter at the bottom counts each visitor once per page, just like it's 1999.
